Howzat Education Project
The Howzat Education Project opens up the Brit Oval to every school in Lambeth, by turning it into their classroom for the day. The project is designed to offer pupils an inspiration insight into cricket and sport in general.
The Howzat day starts with a class taught in the Ben Hollioake Learning Centre, followed by some cricket coaching and a tour of the ground. In addition to a day at The Oval, the pupils also get tickets to a domestic match of their choice.
Our Howzat Education Project ran from January to May last year with over 30 schools attending. This year we plan to run the programme from September for 30 weeks; four mornings every week - this would mean that over 4,000 children benefit from Howzat.
