Now into its second full term, The ECHO Project (Equality, Coaching, Healthy Options) is another new and extremely worthwhile project that will reach thousands of young people in Lambeth.

The ECHO project is a joint venture between Surrey CCC and Fulham Football Club, which coaches Lambeth’s primary and secondary school pupils in cricket and football, whilst delivering simple healthy living messages. So as a pupil warms up before a cricket coaching session they are informally educated about the benefits of eating five portions of fruit or vegetables a day.

The ECHO project reaches over 1,000 children each year: teaching positive, healthy living messages and introducing young people to cricket, football and the benefits of team sport.
