Biography
Murtaza Hussain is Surrey’s off-spin bowler, who was snapped up by coach, Alan Butcher, when he received his British Passport. Former Pakistan A player Hussain has an impressive first-class record of over 500 wickets for an average of 23 runs. He immediately impressed by taking 11 2007 Championship wickets at 25.63. Strangely Hussain is a hero in Sussex too, as his bowling of Dominic Cork on the last day of the LV Championship season confirmed Sussex CCC as title winners. Scandalously, he is yet to be awarded the Freedom of Brighton!
