Pemberton Greenish Surrey Academy players, Zafar Ansari and Matthew Dunn have both been selected as part of the ECB Elite Player Development Under 17 squad.

Ansari and Dunn, will take part in a three day training camp at the National Cricket Performance Centre at the end of this month.

The players graduated from the England under 15 side for who they both played for last season. Ansari captained the side having been a regular fixture over the last few years.

Ansari and Dunn were also part of the Pemberton Greenish Academy side that toured South Africa last month. Both players had a successful tour demonstrating the rewards for training hard with the Academy over the winter.

Pemberton Greenish Surrey Academy Director, Gareth Townsend commented: "Both Matt and Zafar are progressing very well. They have trained very hard through the winter with the PG Academy and this helped to produce good results on tour.

"Matt is a fast bowler with a good action and Zafar's batting is continuing to develop to a high quality, as is is left-arm spin. Both players have impressed me with their attitude and approach to the game and I hope they enjoy the experience and show what they can do."
