One of Surrey’s promising young paceman, Chris Jordan has pledged his allegiance to England even though he spent his junior years in Barbados.
Jordan made his Surrey debut late last season but after such a promising start, the 18 year old signed a two-year deal with Surrey to take him to the end of the 2009 season.

Having made such an impact in first-class cricket already, many people in the cricketing world have taken notice and speculation has already been rife as to who he’d prefer to play for should he be given the nod in the Test arena.
Since October, Jordan has been back to Barbados to spend some time with his family but will head to Perth, Australia later this month to further his pre season training.
Commenting on whether he’d prefer to play for West Indies or England if given the chance, he said, “I’ve always said, that I would like to play for West Indies, but if the opportunity came up for England then I would definitely take it.”
And if he were to get an offer from both nations?
“I think I’d have to go for England. I’m playing cricket there at the moment and that is where people are starting to know my name, so I’d go with them.”
