Brown Caps head for the coast to net a Shark
Published 29 June 2007
After a tough examination at Chelmsford against the Eagles last night, Surrey will have to pick themselves up as they travel to the south coast to take on the Sussex Sharks at Hove in their second floodlit Twenty20 match in two days.
After last night’s result, the Brown Caps remain on four points and are in joint second position with three other teams – Middlesex, Essex and Kent. They take on top of the table Sussex, who lead the group of teams in second place by just one point, however Surrey have the advantage of having one game in hand.
Tonight’s encounter will be the third time Surrey have visited Hove this season. They will take confidence from the previous match, which was in the Friends Provident Trophy under the lights, when Mark Ramprakash scored a magnificent unbeaten century before Chris Schofield bowled Surrey to victory with four wickets.
