Ashes squad announcement at the Brit Oval

Surrey County Cricket Club’s very own Ashes Suite in the OCS stand at the Brit Oval is today hosting the ECB’s press conference, which will announce the Ashes squad for England's 2006/07 tour down under.
The ECB’s press conference to announce the Ashes squad coincides with the same date exactly one year ago that England regained the famous Ashes Urn for the first time in nearly two decades.

The Brit Oval’s Ashes Suite has been created especially for the memory of the incredible events of this time last year. It seems particularly fitting that the Brit Oval, which is where the Ashes were regained, should host the announcement of the squad, with the Ashes Suite also receiving its official opening in conjunction with the press conference.
The announcement is due to take place at three o’clock this afternoon and will precede Surrey’s top of the table floodlit NatWest Pro40 clash with the Gloucestershire Gladiators. This evening's match has also got the prestige of being the only floodlit cricket match in London this season
Tickets to this evenings NatWest Pro40 floodlit entertainment, which cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s, are still available and can be purchased at the turnstiles at the ground.
