Loan Notes

How they work

The principle of this scheme is that for every Loan Note of £500 you invest, you will receive a £20 reduction in your membership. A county member investing £3,500 would therefore only pay £10 towards their membership in 2008. If this was viewed as interest it would represent an annual rate of 6.6% for a higher rate income tax payer.

The Loan Notes will be redeemable in full on the fourth anniversary of their issue. Should you choose to cancel your membership during this four year period then your original investment will be repaid immediately and in full.

The money invested will help Surrey County Cricket Club maintain its position as one of the most successful county sides in the history of the game. Capital raised by the Loan Note scheme will be used to both continue cricket development and further the ground redevelopment at the Pavilion End of the Brit Oval.

Members can apply for Notes up to a maximum dictated by the type of membership they hold.
The annual membership subscription will be collected in the normal way with the appropriate refund made to the Member on or around the 1 April in each holding year.
