Saqlain Mushtaq embodies Surrey’s golden era of three championship wins in four seasons (1999-2002). Joining Surrey CCC in 1997, Saqlain went to Sussex last season but has returned to Surrey for 2008. During Surrey’s golden four-year spell Mushtaq formed a fruitful partnership with Ian Salisbury and took 384 wickets at 20 runs apiece. Mushtaq made 49 Test and 169 One-Day appearances for Pakistan.
