Biography
Surrey Cricket Academy graduate, Laurie Evans, has already made a strong case for inclusion in Surrey’s coveted middle order positions. Evans three first-class outings for Durham UCCE saw him make 63 against Nottinghamshire, 133 (not out) verses Lancashire and 44 against Durham CCC. He went on to hit 51 for MCC against West Indies and shone during Surrey Academy’s tour of South Africa in 2006. Laurie Evans’ desire to attack coupled with his battling spirit has won him a full time contract with Surrey CCC. He’ll be hoping to make his own mark on the Surrey team.
