Biography
Ali Brown’s explosive stroke-play has made him a Surrey favourite; he is currently on the verge of achieving 15,000 first-class runs. Brown won 16 One-Day International caps between 1996 and 2001: the highlight of his England career being a quickfire 118 made against India at Old Trafford. In last summer’s world-record setting match against Gloucestershire, Ali made 176 runs off 97 balls; an innings which included 20 fours and eight sixes. Brown recently signed a one-year extension to his contract, so expect more amazing innings this season.
