The Brit Oval

Surrey County Cricket Club are offering you the chance to take a guided tour of their famous cricket ground, the Brit Oval. To book your tour, please call the Brit Oval reception on 08712 461 100 or book online here.

Two tours will be taking place- one on Friday 27th July at 11am and the other will be getting underway at 9.45am on Saturday 18 August. Tickets cost just £6.95 for adults and £4 for under 16s.

Given your access all areas pass, you will be able to view areas not normally open to the public. You will be guided around the multi-million pound OCS stand, which was new to this iconic ground in 2005. The incredible structure was built over a 77 week period and took the capacity from 18,500 to 23,000. The all access pass will allow you to visit the media centre, where the journalists and commentators call the game, as well as wander through the Ashes Suite, named after that incredible series, which culminated in England regaining the Ashes at the Brit Oval in September 2005.

The first half of the tour will come to an end, as you are guided up to the top of the enormous OCS stand, where you will be able to take in the magnificent London sky line as well as enjoy the fantastic birds eye view of the ground.
The second half of the tour, will take you from the epitome of modern day architecture to the historic Pavilion End of the ground. Once again the access all areas pass will allow you to wander through the famous Long Room, along the way taking in some of the Club's most treasured items of memorabilia.

You will be able to see the oldest surviving cricket bat (1729), in the Laker and Sandham display rooms as well as a hand-tinted lithograph of the first ever Test match on British soil in 1880, in the Pavilion entrance lobby.

The dressing rooms, which are normally completely off limits to the public, are commonly considered the highlight of the Brit Oval tour. You will be able to sit in your favourite player’s area and imagine being a part of the numerous Surrey and England celebrations that have taken place there over the years.

So, if you want to book your place on either tour, you can do so by contacting the Brit Oval reception on 08712 461 100 or book online here.
