Surrey take on Crusaders in return London Derby
Published 27 June 2008
Alan Butcher’s men will look to get one over the Middlesex Crusaders in the last Twenty20 Cup match at the Brit Insurance Oval this evening.
The Brown Caps won through in a nail biting thriller at Canterbury on Wednesday night and will look to beat their London rivals, Middlesex, in front of a jam packed home crowd.
Butcher has named an unchanged squad after picking up victory two nights ago against last year’s champions and it will be pride at stake in tonight’s clash with Middlesex having already booked their place in the quarter finals.
In injury news, Chris Jordan has recovered sufficiently from his side strain to be included in the squad for this evening’s match.
James Benning is going to start some light training, however a come back date is still uncertain.
The full Surrey squad to take on Middlesex is as follows:
Newman
Brown
Ramprakash
Murtagh
Roy
Afzaal
Batty
Wilson
Razzaq
Schofield
Jordan
Ormond
Spriegel
There are no tickets available for this match as it is a sell out. Gates will open from 3:30pm with the match due to get underway at 5:30pm.
