Surrey prepare for electrifying clash with the Dynamos
Published 28 July 2007
The NatWest Pro40 is back again, with Surrey preparing for their first match against the Durham Dynamos, a match that will complete the Surrey Cricket Festival at Guildford Cricket Club.
Alan Butcher has called up James Benning, Ali Brown and James Ormond from the second team in readiness for what is expected to be a very close encounter.
After good starts to the One Day competitions this season, Surrey will be looking to go one step further and top the table to gain promotion into Division One.
Ormond’s inclusion has been just reward after working hard to get back to fitness having suffered a series of injuries earlier in the season. He has been performing consistently well in the second team, exemplified by his first innings figures of three for 28 from 14 overs against Sussex at Whitgift this week.
Injury news
Mark Ramprakash is being rested for tomorrow because of a sore back.
