Planned industrial action may affect travel to Brit Oval for NatWest Series One Day International
Published 29 August 2007
Supporters coming to the Brit Oval for England’s sixth NatWest Series One Day International against India on Wednesday 5 September should be aware that there is a tube strike scheduled that will affect travel to the match.
If the strike is to go ahead, it will affect the Bakerloo, Central and Victoria lines, in addition to the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Waterloo & City lines.
There will however be operation services on Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines, meaning that travel to the Brit Oval by the underground will be possible. Nevertheless we have been asked to warn customers using these services, that while operational, they will be overused and as a result may be delayed.
An alternative route to the Brit Oval, is via a South West Trains service to Vauxhall Station, from where you will be able to walk to the ground in 10 minutes.
