Biography
Chris Murtagh’s exceptional fielding has already won him much praise but now he’s determined to get noticed for his batting. Chris showed his batting prowess with a score of 150 in hot conditions at Wimbledon in 2003, but then his run making seemed to falter. A return to form came when Murtagh made 107 for Loughborough UCCE against Yorkshire, followed by seven outings for Surrey’s second team which brought 503 runs at 71. Murtagh has worked hard to play with more freedom on the offside: he now has a full season at Surrey to build on that progress
