Biography
Chris Jordan made the leap from schools cricket to the first class game in weeks: a feat that takes most players years to achieve. Jordan made it look easy too: troubling brilliant batsmen with his pace, producing great run outs and batting stylishly. The 18-year-old’s performances towards the end of last season helped Surrey evade relegation and buoyed the team’s optimism. Raised in Barbados, Jordan arrived with a British passport for a scholarship at Dulwich College but cricket changed his destiny. This season, the fearless Jordan will have to fulfil the high expectations that many now have of him – a challenge he will no doubt relish.
