Surrey County Cricket Club have just hosted the ECB’s press conference to announce the England squad to tour Australia for the 2006/07 Ashes series down under.

The announcement took place in Surrey County Cricket Club’s very own Ashes Suite which is in the OCS Stand at the Brit Oval. It is fitting that The Brit Oval should host this highly publicised event, as it was exactly one year ago today, at the Brit Oval, that England regained the Ashes for the first time in nearly two decades.

The full England squad to tour Australia for the 2006/07 Ashes series is as follows:
