Watch Cricket

There are over 50 days of cricket at the Brit Oval every year as well as a festival in Guildford and at Whitgift School in Croydon. This all adds up to represent a great opportunity to watch the Brown Caps throughout the summer.

2007 fixture list

Twenty20 cricket is the newest and most dynamic form of the game. Each match lasts only three hours and are often played in front of a full house providing a great atmosphere at the height of the British summer. This format is a great introduction to the game, as well as providing excitement for those who are more experienced watchers. Surrey has a great record in this competition, winning in 2003, losing the final in 2004 and reaching the semi-final in both 2005 and 2006.

Other forms of domestic cricket are spread around the county. The Liverpool Victoria Championship remains the competition to win, and Surrey, having gained promotion from Division Two last season, will spend this year competing for the main prize, something they have not won since 2002.

The re-structured One-Day competitions are regional in the case of the Friends Provident Trophy in the first half of the season, and divisional in the NatWest Pro40 league in the second half of the season.

International cricket at the Brit Oval is invariably sold out in advance, but log onto the ticketing section for more information on availability.

Although some Twenty20 cricket does sell out, there are always tickets available on the day for all other games, except festivals. Log onto the ticketing section to buy now.
