U11 Boys
Players participate in a county match programme, which will encourage competitiveness, reaction to challenge and, through this, the cricketers will be given the opportunity to cope with success and failure. Emphasis will very much be on development, participation and enjoyment. Players will also be expected to play within the ‘ethics’ of the game. The U-10 and U-11 cricketers will represent their district in the early part of the season.

2007 Season Summary
Under 11 Manager Geoff Richards says: “Despite the poor weather, which wiped out nine matches, including our inaugural visit to the Shrewsbury Festival, we managed to complete 12 county fixtures plus the Penny Davies Challenge match and an Inter County game, resulting in six victories and three draws. In total, 31 players were given the opportunity to represent the county. The bowler-friendly early season pitches were reflected by the relatively low individual and team scores. The bowling was consistently decent as illustrated by five boys having averages of below 13. One of these was all-rounder Chris Webster, who took the most wickets with 13, followed by Calum Basey with 12 and opening bowler Guy Lancefield with 11. Basey showed excellent all-round ability, captaining impressively, fielding outstandingly and topping the team’s run scoring with an aggregate of over 200 runs.”
