Coach Education

Coach Education plays a pivotal role in the overall development of cricket within the county and we run courses throughout the winter to expand and improve our existing coaching base. As competition for places on these courses is so high, Surrey Cricket are prioritising places to candidates from Surrey affiliated clubs. The ECB - under the direction of its Cricket Department - runs a National Coaching Scheme, which is designed to equip coaches with the necessary skills to deliver high quality coaching programmes at all levels of the game.

Please read this document as this important information shows how the programme is run through Surrey. (3.6 MB)

Please note that payment must be sent with an applicaiton otherwise confirmation of a place or application will not be made.

It is recommended that you obatin Coaching Insurance, you can purchase this through the ECB Coaching Association. In 2007, we had 459 members of the ECB Coaches Association (ECBCA) who gain various benefits, including a comprehensive insurance package, as part of their membership. In 2008, we plan to re-launch the Surrey Cricket Coaches Association. This will provide its members with a number of opportunities held locally during the year to further develop their coaching skills and knowledge through a variety of seminars and practical sessions. The revamped association will also play a major role in the development of all new coaches who become members of the ECBCA.
