Stuart Surridge Skipper of Surrey's Golden Era
Product description
Stuart Surridge is arguably the finest skipper in surrey county cricket club's illustrious history.
Despite playing in an era when the county were eager for their captain to have come from oxbridge background, Surridge's status as an amateur was beneficial in his appointment as captain over professionals such as Laurie Fishlock.
Duly placed in charge, he embarked upon a remarkable five-year tenure in 1952.
